Ted is a qualified and experienced Metallurgist with ‘life time’ knowledge in ferrous metallurgy. Primarily involved in theoretical and practical aspects of heat treatment technology, also, extremely well versed in the production of iron and steel and many conversion processes. This hands-on metallurgist is conversant with destructive and non-destructive analytical techniques, failure mode analysis, etc. His excellent communication skills, knowledge & experience have enabled him to prepare and control specifications for materials and processes for use on three Continents. He has managed a multi-cultural metallurgical team in India; Poland; Italy; Romania; South Africa; France and England, for a major international manufacturing operation. The focus of this team was to maintain and continually improve product and process quality. Through the membership of an international metallurgical council, liaison with customers, and auditing of suppliers against specific quality and process specifications, customer expectations and satisfaction were sustained. He also possesses knowledge and experience in tribology, process fluids, heat treatment hardware, health and safety, environment and related topics.
